Buy smarter. Skip the guesswork.
We dig through official specs, return policies, warranties and recall records, then tell you plainly who a product is for and who should skip it. Every price and code carries the date we last checked it.
- Every price and code dated
- Brand claims kept separate from facts
- No made-up ratings or reviews
One brand, every buying question
Most shoppers move through the same four questions. Each part of CartwiseLab answers one of them, and every page links to the next step.

We are a research-based publication. Unless a page says otherwise, we have not tested the product hands-on. Here is what we do instead.
Official sources first
Specs, prices and policies come from the brand's own site, with the date we checked.
The fine print
Return windows, restocking fees, shipping costs and warranty terms, written out in plain English.
Safety records
We search recall databases such as the CPSC and, where relevant, the FDA.
Claims kept apart
What a brand says about itself is labeled "according to the brand", never stated as fact.
Dated and corrected
Every page shows when it was last checked. Spot an error and we fix it, publicly.
What you will never see here
Fake urgency
No countdown timers or pressure banners unless the brand has published a real end date.
Invented ratings
No star scores, testimonials or expert quotes that we cannot back up.
"Tested" without testing
If we haven't used a product ourselves, the page says "research-based" right at the top.
Hidden partnerships
We say up front that we earn commissions, and how that affects what we feature.
Quick answers
Is CartwiseLab free to use?
Yes. You never pay us anything. We are reader-supported through affiliate commissions.
How do you make money?
When you buy through some of our links, the brand or its affiliate network may pay us a commission. Your price stays the same. Details are on our How We Make Money page.
Do you test the products?
Most of our pages are research-based: we check official specs, policies and safety records rather than testing hands-on. Each page states which method we used.
Are your coupon codes real?
We only list codes from official sources, such as a brand's affiliate program, and show the date we last checked each one. Codes can still expire early, so confirm at checkout.
