How we make money

Plain answers about affiliate links, commissions and how they affect what you see.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

The short version

CartwiseLab is free to read. Some links on our pages are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the brand or its affiliate network may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way.

Who pays us

Commissions come through affiliate networks and programs such as Impact, Awin, UpPromote, GoAffPro, Social Snowball, ShopMy and similar platforms, or directly from brands. We do not accept payment for a positive verdict.

How partnerships affect our pages

  • We tend to cover brands we have affiliate partnerships with.
  • A partner brand may be featured first or marked as "Our pick" for the group of shoppers it suits.
  • Pages for partner brands may have more "Check price" buttons than pages for other brands.

What partnerships never change: the prices, policies, recall history and other facts we report. We do not invent weaknesses for competitors or hide important facts about partners.

How to spot affiliate links

Every page starts with a disclosure line before the first link. Buttons such as "Check price at…" and links that go through cartwiselab.com/go/… are usually affiliate links.

Coupon codes

Some codes are created for affiliate partners. Using them may earn us a commission. We still list each code's conditions and the date we checked it.
