Quick verdict

If you want a carbon-face paddle in the $100–$200 range and worry about picking the wrong one, CPX is our top pick. Regular paddle orders come with a 90-day money-back window and no restocking fee, US shipping is free on orders over $30, and an optional lifetime warranty ($29.97 per paddle, included with Hyper+ pre-orders) replaces a paddle for wear or accidents. The rival return policies we checked run 30 days.

Great forBeginner and intermediate players buying their first carbon paddle, or anyone who wants a long, low-risk trial.

Weights don’t always match. CPX lists different weights for the same paddle in different places (for example, the Max shows 8.2 oz in its specs and about 7.8 oz in its page summary). Expect a few tenths of an ounce of variation and check the weight on the box if it matters to you.

Each paddle comes with a cover, a fitted grip and edge tape, according to CPX. Hyper+ pre-orders also include a leather case, except the Ghost and RIPSAW editions, which ship with a neoprene cover.

Strengths and watch-outs

Strengths

  • 90-day money-back window with no restocking fee on regular paddle orders
  • Free US shipping on orders over $30
  • Optional lifetime warranty covers wear and accidents, not just defects
  • Entry carbon paddles start at $99.97
  • Strong Trustpilot score (4.7 from 1,111 reviews)

Watch-outs

  • You pay return shipping
  • Mystery Paddle and Pro BOGO deals are final sale
  • Standard warranty length is not stated on the product pages
  • Few independent lab tests of CPX paddles so far
  • Listed weights are inconsistent across CPX’s own pages

How CPX’s return policy compares

The return window is CPX’s clearest advantage. Here is how it lines up with four well-known brands, based on Pickleball Effect’s return-policy roundup (last updated May 21, 2026). Policies change, so confirm on each brand’s site before you buy.

BrandReturn windowReturn shippingFees on used paddles
CPX90 daysYou payNo restocking fee
Selkirk30 daysCovered in the USNot listed
CRBN30 daysCovered in the USNot listed
Vatic Pro30 days$6 fee20% on lightly used
JOOLA30 daysYou payNew, unused paddles only

The trade-off: Selkirk and CRBN cover return shipping, CPX doesn’t. But CPX gives you three times as long to decide, and you can play with the paddle during that time.

Which CPX paddle should you buy?

  • Tight budget or first carbon paddle: the Air ($99.97). Same 90-day window as the pricier models.
  • You want a softer, thicker core: the Pro (19mm, from $99.97).
  • You want CPX’s newest design and the lifetime warranty included: the Hyper+ pre-order (from $150). Ship times vary by color, from about a week to later batches.
  • You already play regularly and want an upgrade: the Ultra or Max.

Not sure? Because returns are open for 90 days, buying one model and swapping if it doesn’t suit you is a realistic plan. Just budget for return shipping.

Current CPX Pickleball codes

We haven’t verified a CPX coupon code yet. When we confirm one through CPX’s official affiliate program, we’ll list it here with its conditions and the date we checked it.

Brand claims we could not verify

  • “4.9 stars from 11,000+ reviews” and “50,000+ players choose CPX” come from CPX’s own site. We couldn’t verify these counts, and CPX shows two different review counts for the Hyper+ (2,100+ and 2,481).
  • CPX states its paddles are USA Pickleball approved and lists PBCoR 43 for the Max and Ultra. We didn’t check these against USA Pickleball’s list.
  • Performance descriptions (spin, pop, control) are according to the brand. We haven’t tested CPX paddles hands-on.
  • The Hyper+ “$300” crossed-out price is, in CPX’s own words, a CPX-assigned estimate, not a former selling price.

Frequently asked questions

Is CPX Pickleball legit?

What is CPX’s return policy?

Regular paddle orders can be returned within 90 days for a full refund with no restocking fee. You pay return shipping. Mystery Paddle and Pro BOGO deals are final sale. CPX says the 90-day window also applies to Hyper+ pre-orders.

Does CPX have a warranty?

Every paddle is covered against manufacturing defects. CPX also sells an optional lifetime warranty for $29.97 per paddle that covers wear, damage and accidents for as long as you own the paddle. It is included with Hyper+ pre-orders.

How much does CPX shipping cost?

US shipping is free on orders over $30, according to CPX. In-stock orders placed before 3pm Central ship the same day.

Which CPX paddle is good for beginners?

The Air ($99.97) is the lowest-cost carbon option and a sensible starting point. With 90 days to return it, you can switch models if it doesn’t suit your game.

Final verdict

CPX’s paddles aren’t the most tested on the market, but the buying terms are hard to match: 90 days to decide, free shipping over $30 and a lifetime warranty option that covers accidents. For most beginners and intermediate players choosing their first carbon paddle, CPX is our top pick. If you’d rather have the brand pay return shipping, Selkirk or CRBN are worth considering, with a shorter 30-day window.
